This certification ensures that they are fully licensed, bonded, and insured for your peace of mind. The company you choose should be supported with up-to-date logistics software and an experienced dispatch and scheduling team. Additionally, confirm that they provide binding moving estimates that remain fixed for the quoted services. The company should also furnish comprehensive work orders that itemize all services and associated costs, guarantee specific pick-up dates, offer direct delivery, and maintain all statuary accreditations.
Identifying the Best Long-Distance Relocation Company

Pricing
Our pricing structure is based on several factors, including the size of the space, the materials involved, and the labor needed for your move, as well as the distance between the pickup and delivery points. Seasonal demand, particularly during the busy spring and summer months, can also influence costs. Booking your move in advance can result in significant savings, especially before routes become congested or fuel prices fluctuate. Additional charges may apply for moves to remote locations to account for travel time. When available, promotional routes can provide cost-saving opportunities. We are pleased to offer discounts for seniors and veterans, which can further adjust the overall pricing. All estimates provided by Good Shepherd Relocation are binding, with no hidden fees, and are not subject to change as long as the items space and services on the original work order and estimate aren’t changed by the client.

Packing
Proper and adequate packing is vital for any long-distance relocation. Inadequate packing can result in damaged belongings and unforeseen expenses, making it imperative to select a trustworthy service. At Good Shepherd Relocation, we prioritize the careful wrapping and protection of our clients' items before they leave their homes and are securely loaded onto the truck. The packing process needs to be thorough and precise, leading to minimal damage, and in the unlikely event that damage occurs, it is always covered. The skill of properly wrapping and packing items is developed through years of experience, dedication, and pride. We view this process as an art form and consider it the most critical element of the entire moving experience. Furthermore, we provide a range of packing services for customers who wish to have some or all of their packing needs taken care of, including on-site crating for specialized items.

On your designated move date, a team of either two or three professional movers will arrive, depending on the scale of your relocation. The driver, typically serving as the foreman, will present a Bill of Lading that details all items being transported. The moving team will come prepared with essential supplies, including moving blankets, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, tape, dollies, hand trucks, and moving straps. The foreman will perform an inventory and condition assessment of all items prior to moving. Following this, the team will disassemble beds and furniture to ensure safe transport. Once disassembled, furniture will be padded with blankets and shrink-wrapped, mattresses will be placed in protective bags, and televisions will be wrapped in bubble wrap, padded, and secured in TV boxes. After all items are properly secured, they will be carefully removed from the residence and loaded onto the truck in a manner that optimizes space and safeguards them during transit. Upon arrival at the new location, the truck will be unloaded, items will be unwrapped, reassembled, arranged and staged in the specified rooms of your choice. A final inspection will be conducted to confirm that all items have arrived in excellent condition.

Scheduled a move with Good Shepherd for our Move from California to Texas. Good communication throughout. Beside arriving 2 hours late on move date the moving crew knew what they where doing and more then made up for being late with the way they worked wrapped and handled our stuff. All and all everything went as expected. All items arrived as they were shipped. No issues beside the late arrival - I would use them again but hope not to have to move again anytime soon. Give them an A.-

Moved 4 Bedroom house from Tom's River NJ to Charlotte NC with Good Shepherd --- No issues at pick up or at delivery. - Hard working classy company. Price was a little higher than some quotes we received and less than others. Feel we got our monies worth and we chose the right company. We tipped the moving crew $100 each.

Contracted Good Shepherd Movers and Relocation for a 53 foot semi to move us from AZ to MT. Moving team were beast. Had everything wrapped and loaded in 6 hours. Unloaded in 3 hours. Truck arrived within the promised window. Leg on one of our coffee tables got damaged during the move but no biggie. We didn’t think it was worthy of putting in a claim. Do not hesitate to use. Good people. Five Star

Had to relocate from San Diego to Omaha NE for a new Job. Getting everything packed , moved and delivered took a lot of planning in which Good Shepherd was a big part of. They were more expensive than some other quotes we got but glad I listened to my wife and went with them instead of some of the less expensive quotes we received from other companies. Want to say thanks to Javier and his crew and wish him the best with the new addition to his family.

Needed a moving company to move my mom from New York to Florida. Hired Good Shepherd. They treated my mom great and she had nothing but good things to say about them.

Good Shepherd Movers arrived a day later than promised with our stuff. We hired them to move us from Tacoma WA to Delaware. We had to stay in a hotel for another night unexpectedly. We were told the driving team ran into some bad weather causing delays. We were given updates every day which was appreciated but that didn’t change the fact we had to spend money for an additional night in a hotel. Otherwise we were treated great and our stuff was delivered in the same condition it was shipped and everything accounted for.
